Many Sacramento County taxpayers have become concerned over solicitations they are receiving in regards to their property tax assessments and exemptions, offering property tax assistance or services for a fee.

While property owners are certainly at liberty to use these private companies, they can apply for some of these services themselves at absolutely no cost.

Some examples of services provided by the Assessor’s office with no fees are:

• Homeowners’ Exemptions 
• Veterans Exemptions
