Real Property Owners--Mailing Address Change

Owners must maintain a current mailing address for each parcel owned.  To change your mailing address choose ONE of the following methods. Do not submit an address change more than once.

  1. Requests must be made in writing. Requests are not accepted by telephone. Complete the Mailing Address Change​ form. Return the completed form by fax, mail or e-mail to assessor@saccounty.gov.

  2. Write a note to the Sacramento County Assessor, 3636 American River Drive, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95864-5952. Provide your name, parcel number, property address, new mailing address, daytime telephone number, and signature.

  3. Use the Change of Address on your tax bill. The change will be forwarded to the Assessor.

Business Personal Property Address Change

Business owners may change their mailing address using one of the methods below.

  1. Requests must be made in writing.  Requests are not accepted by telephone.  Complete the Account Change Form and mail, e-mail to PPDutyAPR@saccounty.gov​, or fax to 916-875-0735.

  2. Write a note to the Sacramento County Assessor, 3636 American River Drive, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95864-5952.  Provide your business name, parcel number, property address, new mailing address, daytime telephone number, name and signature. 

Property Address Information (Street Address)

The Assessor does not assign the street address for a property.  Contact the city or county where the property is located.
